Mementos

The last few years I always try to grab one of the programs at my weddings so I can have a memento of the day. Looking at them brings back lots of memories of these days and I am very appreciative of the trust given to me by all my Brides and Grooms. Each one of them reminds me of people, places and even weather! Here is a shot of some of these programs.

Skyline

These are a couple on non-wedding related photographs that I took a couple of nights ago of the skyline of Manhattan. I was on the Jersey side and did this shot that shows the Chrysley Building in the background on the right and if you look close enough the Space Shuttle on the aircraft carrier in the center. The second photo below is a panoramic shot I took of the entire skyline. Click on the images to see a little more detail. The last image I took today while I was driving down the shore. I stopped at Seaside Heights and photographed the roller coaster that remains in the Ocean since Hurricane Sandy. It’s somewhat surreal. The flag was put there a couple of days ago by someone that illegally climbed the ride.

This last image I just found up in my archives. It’s from a 2004 trip to Europe. This shot of the moon was taken from my hotel room and the most famous attraction in Paris gets blended in with other common rooftops.

Every Pup has his day!

I recently photographed a wedding in Hamilton NJ that had as an active participant in the ceremony a very cute Pitbull named Petey. His job was to be the ring bearer and he performed his duties perfectly and on cue!

That got me thinking about all the other 4 legged friends I’ve encountered at weddings over the years.

While some like Petey have an important “paws-on” job to do at the wedding, others dress up for the occasion, give their support to the Bride or Groom and then stay home to protect their territory from any pesky squirrels!

Oh and let’s not forget the Cats also. They usually just stay home and mind their own business thank you very much!  Even still, I usually manage to grab a few shots of them also.

So as a tribute to our pets, here is a small collection of photographs from my archives of the furry friends that I have encountered over the last few years.

Petey the Pitbull is the first in the series wearing the bow tie and appears again later laying by a door looking outside.

This last photo isn’t from a wedding, it’s my two dogs. Suki (4 year old) and Freckles (1 year old) playing in our yard. They would be upset if I didn’t include them in the selections!
